BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Jun 27 2016 – A foul mouth has added to 50 Cent’s legal woes.

The hip-hop star was arrested Saturday after he uttered the word “motherf—–” at his performance in St. Kitts, where it’s illegal to swear in public.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was originally only scheduled to host the event, but he ended up performing at the organisers’ request.

“He obliged and used the DJ they had there,” his rep said in a statement. “Unfortunately, they didn’t have the clean version to his tracks, so there were profanities used during his performance.”

Police arrested the “Candy Shop” rapper after the show for cursing in front of the crowd of 40,000 people. He was booked Saturday evening.

The rapper returned to court Sunday morning to pay his fine and settle the matter, a source close to 50 Cent said. He was on his way to the U.S. Sunday afternoon.

Using profanity in public is a misdemeanor offense in St. Kitts, and could even land an offender in jail, according to the country’s Small Charges Act.

Other than the arrest, his rep said the performance went very well.

“The show was a great success and he will make sure for future trips to St. Kitts that he leaves the “motherf—–s” in the United States,” the rep said.

It’s unclear how much the indecent infraction cost 50 Cent, but fellow artist DMX was forced to pay $376 for a similar offense in the Caribbean island nation in 2003.

Fitty’s finances have been in question since last year, when he filed for bankruptcy. He continued to flaunt his wealth on social media in the ensuing months, most notably sharing an Instagram photo featuring several stacks of $100 bills arranged to spell out the word “broke.”

In March, however, he filed a court statement claiming the bills were fake.

The rapper also reached a $6 million settlement earlier this year with Lastonia Leviston, who sued him after he shared her private sex tape online to draw viewers to his website.
