ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Oct 28 2016 – The planned wedding of Mariah Carey and James Packer in Barbuda is off.
Wendy Williams’ loyal viewers know more than anyone that the talk show maven has not been a fan of Carey’s relationship with her now alleged ex-fiancée Packer. After months of predicting their relationship would fail, Wendy got her wish as they’re reportedly broken up and while Wendy celebrates, Twitter is kind of disgusted with her reaction.
During Thursday’s episode of her morning talk show, Wendy dishes on the alleged breakup and explained that while it’s bad news for the iconic singer’s love life, it’s good news for her business as a gossip fanatic.
“Mariah, I told you he wouldn’t marry you,” she said. “I told you your antics would make him sick. Do you all recall me saying this all along?… I don’t think Mariah needs to change who she is but she needs to find the right person who would put up with that mess…. Bad for her love life, but great for our watching.”
Continuing to detail their split, she explained on reports that Packer told Mariah to keep the expensive ring he gave her for their engagement:
“You know a man is really done when he says, ‘You know what? Keep the ring.’ A $10 million ring. This is how much he’s done with her,” she said. “‘Keep the ring. This is how much money I have.'”
Wendy even went on to explain that he may not have been familiar with the “Vision of Love” singer’s diva antics because he’s not a follower of the popular gossip blogs:
“The problem is with billionaires is that they’re so busy making billions that they’re not watching TV. They’re not reading RadarOnline.com or MediaTakeOut.com. They have no idea the tea. They watch the news, but they don’t watch the news. You know?” she said, “So I’m sure that when he met her, she was across the room and she was very gorgeous and she was glittery and drinking champagne… and yeah, men are attracted to that. He sashayed over. He knows who Mariah Carey is. He just doesn’t know the fine writing below.”
She ended with these strong words:
“She is annoying. She doesn’t turn this off. This is not an act — This is really her.”
Needless to say, some folks on Twitter found her reaction amusing, while others thought it was a bit bothersome.
