KINGSTON, Jamaica, May 26 2016  – The body of one of the students washed away by flood waters in the eastern parish of St. Thomas  on Tuesday has been found.

The police report that the body of Brittany Cowell, a student of Paul Bogle High School was found on Wednesday along the side of the road.

Brittany was walking with another student along the Cheswick main road in the parish when they were swept away and efforts by residents to rescue them were affected by a power outage in the community.
