Jamaican crash victim remains in serious condition in Antigua hospital

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, May 16 2017 – The situation remains dire for a Jamaican man who was injured in a motor vehicle accident last month.

Anthony Barrett remains in the Intensive Care Unit at the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre.

Barrett’s legs were broken in the accident on Factory Road on April 30.

He also had internal bleeding and his lungs were punctured with a broken rib cage.

On May 4, he was placed in an induced coma while a nation-wide appeal went out for O negative blood.

The car, which was badly damaged, was driven by Joseph Gregoire who has since been released from hospital. He will need to do therapy for a dislocated shoulder and broken index finger.
