JetBlue Adding Flights To Aruba

ORANJESTAD, Aruba, Aug 30 2016 – JetBlue has announced further network expansion to the Caribbean with a new daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Aruba.

Nonstop flights to Queen Beatrix International Airport will begin on January 4, 2017.

JetBlue already flies to Aruba from New York JFK and Boston.

“Aruba’s expanded partnership with JetBlue will continue to raise our island’s tourism to new heights. This new daily service allows Aruba to cater to our key Fort Lauderdale market  while also serving as a crucial feeder market for US westerners who have shown an increased propensity to visit Aruba in recent years,” said Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority.

US visitor arrivals to Aruba grew 7.7 percent in 2015, said Aruba’s minister of tourism, Otmar Oduber.

The new route will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.

“We are thrilled to announce more Fort Lauderdale growth and new non-stop service to Aruba. We are making it easier than ever to get to Aruba no matter where our customers are flying from,” said Dave Clark, vice president for network planning at JetBlue.
