LIAT Restores Morning Service From Grenada To Barbados

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, Mar 20 2017 – Regional carrier LIAT has restored its daily morning service from Grenada to Barbados it was announced Monday.

Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation, Dr. Clarice Modest-Curwen made the announcement which follows a meeting with representatives of the airline.

“This new service will also commence on June 15 and will operate four days a week, arriving from Barbados mid-morning, and departing Grenada just before noon for Barbados”, Modest-Curwen said.

LIAT withdrew this and another service in late 2016, prompting local officials to seek alternatives, while negotiating with LIAT for restoration.

LIAT was represented at the February meeting by Acting CEO Julie Reifer-Jones, Chief Commercial Officer Lloyd Carswell and Manager of Scheduling, Jabari Jemmot.
