Now Jamaica Bans ‘Demonic’ Charlie Charlie Game in School

KINGSTON, Jamaica, May 30 2015 – The Ministry of Education has issued a ban against students playing the Charlie Charlie game – following reports from several schools of disruptive behaviour by students who engaged in the challenge.

Chief Education officer Grace McLean instructed schools to monitor students to ensure they do not play the game and advised school personnel to immediately contact the regional offices if they need help and further support to address the situation.

The popular Charlie Charlie challenge is an Ouija board style game that attempts to summon a Mexican demon.

It’s reported that students display demon possessed or paranormal behaviour while playing the game.

Parents and guardians are also being called on to monitor their children carefully outside of school, as based on the reviews of the Charlie Charlie Challenge, it can have serious psychological effects on children.

The bulletin further argued that parents and guardians should note that the playing of this game can result in “serious physical harm to our children.”

Education officials in Antigua and Barbuda and St. Lucia have also banned the game in schools.
