Trinidad Issues Yellow Fever Advisory

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Mar 29 2017 – The Ministry of Health has advised that effective March 22, travelers from Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Suriname are required to present proof of vaccination against Yellow Fever through a valid International Certificate of Vaccination.

Stakeholders at the Piarco International Airport, including the Immigration Division of the Ministry of National Security, have been advised on the enforcement of these requirements.

Immigration Officers have been trained in the use of a decision tool to guide the verification process of travellers entering Trinidad & Tobago from the specified countries.

Caribbean Airlines says passengers should liaise with their travel agents for a list of the Yellow Fever vaccination requirements of various countries, territories, and areas before their scheduled departure.
