KINGSTON, Jamaica, May 30 2016 – Two teenagers drowned and a third person has been hospitalised after they tried to rescue a colleague who had gotten into difficulties while swimming on Sunday afternoon.
The authorities have given the names of those dead as 15-year-old Alex Lindo and 18-year-old Oshane Lowe of St. James.
Police said that the teenagers were among a group of five that reportedly went swimming in Spring Garden when one of them reportedly got into difficulties and his friends tried to assist him.
This resulted in both teenagers dying and a third unidentified being taken to hospital for treatment.
