Government Minister Resigns

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, Jan 14 2017 – Minister with responsibility for the promotion of the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme,  Alexandra Otway-Noel Friday announced that she had resigned from the Grenada government, but the Office of the Prime Minister has said it has not yet received the letter of resignation.

In a statement posted on her Facebook page, Otway-Noel said that she had resigned from her Government position to pursue a number of “exciting opportunities in the private sector” and has agreed to ensure a smooth transition to her as yet unnamed successor.

“It has been a privilege and an honour to serve the Prime Minister, the Government and the nation of Grenada,” she said, noting that as in her role of Minister of Tourism she oversaw a number of high profile initiatives including the re-positioning and re-branding of the tourism Sector which led to the birth of the ‘Pure Grenada, Spice of the Caribbean’ market proposition.
