16-year-old Guyanese boy missing in Barbados

Police in Barbados are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a missing Guyanese teen.

The Guyana native, Joshua Dexter Nurse, has been residing at #6 Buttals Tenantry, St. George. He is a fifth form student of the St. George Secondary School.

Nurse is described as 5’6” tall, dark complexion, slim build, round head, brown full eyes, thick lips, bulbous nose, medium ears, long arms, black hair and speaks with a Guyanese accent.

He was last seen wearing a long blue sweater, red short pants and grey boots.

Police say Nurse has been living in Barbados since last year with his mother Karima Nurse, 41.

On Tuesday, May 19 around 7 a.m., the boy’s mother was leaving home to go to work when she saw her son outside the residence with a bag on his back and school books in his hands.

She returned home later that day to find that her son was not at home. She asked other members of the family for him but none of them could give his whereabouts. She made additional checks with family members, neighbours and friends but was unable to locate him. The matter was later reported to the District ‘B’ Police Station.
