2 killed in vehicular accident involving son of Dominica government minister

Police are investigating an accident involving the son of Public Works  Minister, Colin McIntyre, in which two people were killed over the last weekend.

The police said that the accident happened on the Edward Olivier LeBlanc Highway, when a motor vehicle driven by 38-year-old Delano Dane McIntyre collided with a motor cycle carrying 30-year-old Stephan Jean Jacques and 30-year-old Nadia Nicholas on Saturday night.

“The riders of the motorcycle sustained injuries and were transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital where they were pronounced dead,” according to the police statement, adding that a coroner’s inquest will be convened.

It said investigations are ongoing.
