ANTIGUA-BARBUDA – Climate change and global warning to be integrated into curriculum

The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has accepted a recommendation to develop Climate Change and Global Warming as a curriculum subject to be taught to all students.

The recommendation was made by the Director of Education Clare Browne who also reminded the Cabinet that the Dominican Republic has indicated its intention to build a new school on Barbuda.

A set of buildings, somewhat similar to the newest school built in Potters, is to be submitted to the Dominican Republic.

Cabinet said that the new school is expected to cost between EC$14-15 million and would be a considerable gift from a sister-Caribbean country.
