Authorities call off search for LIAT employee missing in Colombia

The search for Jonathon Phillips, the LIAT employee missing in Colombia, has been called off.

The decision was made by the Colombian authorities on Friday.

Phillips vanished while bathing in a river in Colombia in the South American country a week ago.

A family member said the Colombian Government is offering a reward for anyone who finds his body.

The man is feared dead but family members are still holding out some hope that he will be found alive.

Phillips worked in the flight operations department at LIAT.

  1. This is a very sad case. This young man was last seen bathing in river and no one can say where he went or even if he was there by himself or with someone else?
Question, is this river safe? What I mean is you have to look at two (2) possibilities here:

    1. This river could very well be infested with dangerous animals. In top of my list, ????. This beast could’ve taken a swim at the same time as this young man.

    2. Is the city or where the river is located safe for someone like him? He’s African American and could’ve very well end up in a river that’s located in a town some where that’s not “African American friendly.

Either or, or none of the above, this is sad. Clearly this young man looks intelligent it does not appear that any screws are missing so it’s hard to believe that this young man would’ve done anything intentional to hurt himself.

I believe that something could’ve gone waaaaaaaaaaay left.

I do hope that his family come to a celebratory end.
