China donates medical supplies to Barbados’ Queen Elizabeth Hospital

A batch of medical supplies donated by the government of China, valued at more than BD$160,000, has been handed over to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Barbados.

The medical supplies, including a ventilator, two infant incubators, two monitors, one electrocardiograph, one cardiac defibrillator and surgical masks, medical goggles and surgical gloves are desperately needed for Barbados in the fight against COVID-19 virus.

The COVID-19 outbreak is spreading worldwide, posing enormous threat to life and health and bringing formidable challenge to global public health security.

Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, china has achieved success in the war against COVID-19.

At the most difficult moment in its fight against the outbreak, China received firm solidarity and support from Barbados government and people, which was reflected in a letter Prime Minister Mia Mottley wrote to Xi.
