WILLEMSTAD, Curacao, Sept. 4, CNS – Insel Air will commence scheduled Fokker 70 operations on September 22 of this year with initial services to cover Aruba and Curacao to Paramaribo Int’l.
The local carrier acquired three of the type from KLM Cityhopper earlier this year with two of the Fokker Aircraft to be deployed to its Aruban subsidiary, Insel Air Aruba, where they will be used in launching new services to Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador and Puerto Rico.
The Fokker 70 is a narrow-body, twin-engined, medium-range, turbofan airliner produced by Fokker as a smaller version of the Fokker 100 jetliner.
