Dominican Republic Rocked By Earthquake

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, Apr 21 2017 – An earth with a magnitude of 4.2 rocked sections of the Dominican Republic late Thursday.

The US Geological Survey said the tremor was felt at 7:24 pm (local time) with an epicenter that was 18.1 north latitude and 69.1 west longitude, around 50 kilometres to the southwest of La Romana and 35 to the south of San Pedro de Macorís.

The quake had a depth was 57.5 kilometers and shaking was felt in various sectors of the capital.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
