Earthquake rattles 3 Caribbean countries

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 rattled the capital cities of three Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries early, Tuesday, but there were no reports of injury or damage.

The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indie (UWI), said that the quake occurred at 5:58 a.m. (local time) and was felt in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and St. Lucia.

It was located Latitude: 12.67N, Longitude: 61.44W and a depth of 110 kilometers (km)

The SRC said the quake rattled areas 59 (km) south west of Kingstown, in St, Vincent and the Grenadines, 77 km north east of St. George’s, Grenada and 159 km south-south west of Castries in St. Lucia.
