NEVIS – Four Seasons Resorts Nevis welcomes new general manager

Four Seasons Resort Nevis, the award-winning Resort consistently ranked by travellers and travel experts as one of the top resorts in the Caribbean, has named Philip Salud as the new Resort Manager.

A 15-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Philip hails most recently from the brand’s celebrated Balinese hideaway, Jimbaran Bay.

“I am looking forward to welcoming Philip to the Four Seasons Resort Nevis team,” says Gonzalo Güelman Ros, the Resort’s General Manager. “I believe his experiences and skill set gained while having lived, worked and travelled in many parts of the world will have a positive impact on the people of Nevis, our team and our guests.”

As Resort Manager, Philip will lead the day-to-day operations at Four Seasons Resort Nevis, as well as oversee the following divisions: rooms, spa, food and beverage and engineering. He also is responsible for monitoring and maintaining Four Seasons core standards to ensure all guests receive the highest level of service during their stay.

Philip comes to the Resort following a promotion from his position as Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, where he was project lead and liaison between Four Seasons brand, Resort ownership, project managers and staff during a resort wide, two year, $18 million renovation project. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Director of Rooms and Front Office Manager at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole and previously as Assistant Director of Housekeeping at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

“I am very excited to be joining Four Seasons Resort Nevis at this exciting time in the property’s history,” says Philip. “My experience with renovations in all my past hotels will add value at this important time for Nevis, as well as my focus on the guest experience – particularly having worked with guests from almost every corner of the world –will help us achieve high guest satisfaction.”

Prior to joining Four Seasons, Philip worked for the Historic Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI, the Ritz-Carlton in Aspen, CO and Shangri-La Hotel in the Philippines, in both Rooms and F&B. He started his hospitality career after earning his Master’s Degree from the famed Cornell School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York.

Philip will be accompanied in Nevis by his wife of more than 20 years, Minette, as well as their two younger children, Tatti and Iñigo. The couple’s two older daughters, Cheska and Gabi, are currently in college in the Philippines. Philip grew up in Wisconsin and his family continues to have strong roots in the Philippines. He is a Green Bay Packers football fan and a sports enthusiast, including skiing, basketball, soccer and ice hockey.
