Grenadian father and son renovating home die from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in Detroit

Police are investigating after two men, originally from Grenada, were found dead in a home in Highland Park.

The bodies found inside a home on Sunday morning have been identified as father and a son, Winston and Nigel Ventour.

The two had been living on Massachusetts Street for roughly eight months. The power was shut off last Monday and the men were running a generator to keep the lights on.

Originally from Grenada by way of New York, the Ventours were in Michigan working carpentry jobs, sending most of their money to their families back in New York.

Winston was 68 years old, married with four adult children. Nigel also had four children ranging from 14 to 3 years old.
