JAMAICA – Another video surfaces of woman beating child

Another video has hit social media showing a woman beating and threatening her daughter. This is the second such video in recent weeks.

In the six-minute video, the little girl is seen in a bedroom lying on a carpet being hit with a belt all over her body by her mother.

The woman hits the child in the head and other parts of her body, pinches and slaps her face and shakes her head vigorously. There are also threats of murder.

Based on the video, it appears that the child is being abused for something that went wrong at school.

Another child, who was apparently capturing the incident on a cell phone, was asked questions about what happened at the school.

At the beginning of October, a video surfaced on social media of a 44-year-old unemployed woman beating her 12-year-old daughter with a machete in St Thomas.

She was later arrested at her home at Bath in the parish and charged with cruelty to a child.

The woman and her daughter were questioned by the police and officers of the Child Development Agency.

The video, which went viral, shows a partially nude woman beating the girl with a machete while cursing expletives.

A dog which came between the woman and the child was also slapped with the machete.
