Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga has been reappointed Chancellor of the University of Technology (UTECH) – the Chancellor, is the head f the institution.
He will serve for an additional three years until November 6, 2020.
A statement from the university says the Chancellor was reappointed by the Cabinet on the recommendation of the University Council.
His duties include – presiding over at least one meeting of the Council annually, the conferring of degrees, diplomas, certificates as well as other academic distinctions and awards.
