Jamaican media personality and comedienne Elva Ruddock has died.
She had been ailing for some time.
News of her death has shocked the entertainment, media and theatre industries on which Ruddock made her mark.
In recent weeks, she had been hospitalised.
Ruddock is best know for her larger than life personality and was a former columnist with the Jamaica Observer and its defunct evening publication Chat!.
Her other media exploits included host of Fame FM’s Full House Fridays and co-host of the popular infomercial for the Bashco stores with Omar Azan.
