JAMAICA – Verdict expected in Ninjaman’s murder trial

A verdict is expected today in the murder trial of dancehall entertainer Ninjaman and his two co-accused.

Trial judge, Justice Martin Gayle, who has been summing up the case since last week, is expected to hand over the case to the jury.

Ninjaman and his son Jahneil are on trial for the March 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson on Marl Road in Kingston.

The third accused is Dennis Clayton.

Prosecutors say Johnson was fatally shot in a yard by the artiste and other men.

Ninjaman who faces life imprisonment if convicted, has denied killing Johnson.
