Japanese government scholarships available for Barbadian students

The Embassy of Japan in Barbados has announced that it is now open for applications to the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for 2021.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, through the Embassy of Japan in Barbados, is offering scholarships to Barbadians who wish to study at universities in Japan as Research Students.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who wish to study in Japan.

There are several Barbadians who have previously received this scholarship and successfully pursued their studies in Japan.

The scholarship period is from September or October 2021 to March 2023, which includes six months of intensive Japanese language training. During this period, students will enrol in a master’s, doctoral or a professional graduate course or may engage in non-degree research study.

Benefits include a monthly stipend, paid tuition and one return ticket. Applicants must be Barbadian nationals, born on or after April 2, 1986, in possession of at least a university degree and willing to learn Japanese language.
