Leroy King extradited from Antigua to face changes in the United States

The former head of the Financial Regulatory Services (FSRC) , Leroy King, accompanied by US Marshals, was on Friday extradited to the United States to answer charges.

In 2009, he had been charged by United States authorities with committing acts of facilitation in the US $7 billion Ponzi scheme involving the subsequently convicted R Allen Stanford.

King’s attorney, Dr. David Dorsett, appealed to the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda this past Wednesday for a “time extension”  for his client.

His request was denied, as it was deemed “inappropriate” by the Attorney General Steadroy Benjamin.

  1. Crap!!! I understand its law but so long this is almost extinct…so damb long this pass. Extraditing the man from his home for that shit!!! Antigua needs to treat all their mess as grave as this old one. Y not do a proper investigation, and follow the proper channels.. stop muzzling some and let justice prevail and get Keoma Hamer’s damn stolen kids fir her. Start an investigations….a proper open one. Start to bring up the number of babies who disappeared in Antigua hospital….Without trace

  2. I certainly hope that when time comes for the extradition of any person currently serving in government that the same speed will be used.
