MIAMI – U.S., Trinidad and Tobago to conduct joint military exercise

Trinidad and Tobago will host defense, interagency and law enforcement partners from the United States for exercise Fused Response, April 16-26.

Barbados, an important regional partner, will provide logistical and staging support to portions of the exercise.

This is the first time Trinidad and Tobago will host the annual multilateral exercise, which is aimed at strengthening relationships, building capacity and expanding cooperation among participating defense and security forces.

The exercise includes realistic scenarios that test regional stability and challenge the skills of participants, while providing opportunities to develop professionally.

The exercise combines simulated computer-based training with hands-on field training. Helicopters and cargo planes add to the realistic training environment while supporting exercise objectives.

Fused Response reflects the commitment of participating countries to work collaboratively with security partners in the region, strengthen longstanding ties, and enhance interoperability between nations.
