Pilot dies as Cessna aircraft crashes in Guyana

A single-engine aircraft crashed upon landing at Eteringbang, a remote mining community in western Guyana, according to a senior official from the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority.

The Cessna 206 registered (8R-GHB) to Fenix Airways was piloted by Captain Randy Liverpool, a former Air Traffic Controller, who perished in the accident.

This mishap comes on the heels of another plane crash less than a week ago in which the pilot, Lincoln Gomez, and another occupant escaped with minor injuries.
