Tourism Trinidad supports creative sector in face of COVID-19

Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) has partnered with Carla Parris of The Business of Carnival to roll out a digital creative arts campaign in light of the current COVID-19 crisis that has hit the Caribbean cultural sector.

As a result of COVID-19, the sector has seen a sudden and massive loss of revenue opportunities, especially for the more fragile players.

This crisis creates a structural threat to the survival of many firms and artists in cultural and creative production.

Whilst many performance artists have provided online and free content in recent weeks, few have delved into developing sustainable business models during and after COVID-19.

This will be the main objective of the digital creative arts campaign. 

Tourism Trinidad believes that the preservation and promotion of our culture and creativity will play an important role in building destination awareness as we emerge from this unprecedented challenge.
