TRINIDAD – Two school children among four killed

Police said the bodies of four people, including two secondary school children, were found in a house at La Brea on Tuesday night.

The authorities said retired teacher, Michael Scott, 69, appeared to have been bludgeoned to death while the bodies of his tenant, Abigail Chapman, 35, her 16 year-old daughter, Olivia, and Olivia’s friend, Mickela Mason, 14, were also found in the apartment.

Mickela’s throat was slit and the two other females appeared to have been beaten to death. The teenage girls were pupils of the Point Fortin East Secondary School.

Police have not given any motive for the killings. So far more than 100 people have been murdered in Trinidad this year.
