Two Haitian nationals missing from custody in Barbados

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men who went missing from custody sometime between Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The men entered Barbados shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday, November 2 on Copa Airlines flight CM 260, police said.

In a statement to the media Saturday afternoon, police said the two men, along with 11 other Haitian nationals, all of whom were refused entry, were kept in custody at an undisclosed location from 10 p.m. to await their flight out of the island.

A security check was made around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday and the two men were discovered missing.
