Three people, including two children, were killed after a fire extensively damaged an apartment in at Regency Park, Warrens South, St Michael, south west of the capital Bridgetown on Wednesday.
Police confirmed the deaths but have not yet released their identities, following the blaze that occurred just before midday.
Media reports quoted an eyewitness as having heard an explosion before the fire started.
The authorities said that other apartments at complex have been slightly damage.
