4 resort staff in Antigua test positive for COVID-19

Four staff at Hodges Bay resort in Antigua have tested positive for COVID-19, Dr. Joseph John confirmed to 268 TODAY moments ago.

The resort’s 66 workers were tested at Medical Surgical Associates this morning, using rapid antigen tests.

This comes mere days after 39 imported cases of COVID-19 were reported by local authorities.

The four new cases take Antigua and Barbuda’s total count to 69.

Health officials are yet to release the results of up to 40 mores tests, which were done recently.

The four staff members are in isolation at the hotel.

Two have been showing mild symptoms but all four are believed to be doing well.
