Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Barbados calls on Prime Minister Mottley

Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Barbados, Wellington Darío Bencosme Castaños, on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Mia Mottley, at Ilaro Court, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.

During the courtesy call, Prime Minister Mottley discussed several matters with non-resident Ambassador Castaños, including mutually working to tackle climate change and the Sargassum seaweed influx, addressing food security, and creating greater linkages as it relates to languages.

Earlier, the Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence to Dame Sandra Mason, accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Barbados.

This presentation of Letters of Credence and the courtesy call come as Barbados and the Dominican Republic mark 50 years of bilateral diplomatic ties.
