ANTIGUA – British Airways plane lands safely after scare

British Airways flight 2157 landed safely at V.C. Bird International (ANU) at 1:50 p.m. Sunday despite concerns that something was amiss with the landing gear.

The flight, from London Gatwick, was on its descent to Antigua when the pilot noticed an indication that there was a problem with the tires.

Local authorities were contacted and emergency services were on standby on the tarmac.

The plane landed without issue, however, and all passengers disembarked safely. (Antigua Newsroom)
