Antigua Cancels Passport Issued to Chinese Woman Under CIP

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Oct 15 2015 – Antiguan authorities have cancelled a passport issued to a Chinese woman under the Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP).

Government Spokesman Lionel Hurst said it was discovered that the woman had lied on the application when asked if she had ever been denied a United States visa.

Chief Immigration Officer Annette Mark said the passport was taken away when the woman arrived here over the weekend and the citizenship was revoked.

The woman was deported from Antigua on Tuesday.
