ANTIGUA – CARICOM team arrives to investigate allegations against police commissioner

A three-member team from Caricom Implementing Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS) is on the island to conduct investigations into the allegations made against Commissioner of Police Wendel Robinson.

The Police administration said they have been duly appointed and sworn-in as Special Constables and will conduct their investigations during the coming weeks.

Robinson was suspended in April amid allegation of sexual misconduct that was leveled against him by three male officers.

The top cop is challenging his suspension claiming due process was not followed.

Upon the conclusion of the CARICOM team’s investigations, a report will be submitted to the Police Service Commission (PSC).
