ANTIGUA – Dominican national charged with murder

Police have charged Earlsfield James of Upper Fort with murder.

James is the third person to be charged in connection with the alleged murder of Kemmoy Jeffers of Fort Road, a week ago.

James, who was on the run for almost a week, surrendered on Thursday at St John’s Police Station, following numerous appeals by police for him to turn himself in. He was accompanied by family members.

He is expected to make his first court appearance sometime next week.

Earlier this week, police charged Clarence Ira Thomas aka “Wadada” and Raeleen Whynn aka “Shelly” both of Upper Fort Road with Jeffers’ murder. They have since been remanded to prison.
