ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Sep 30 2015 – Police say an operation conducted in the Fryers Beach area, resulted in the seizure of EC$84,900 and the arrest of Trevor Jones, an Antiguan male.
Jones has been charged with one count of Money Laundering under the Money Laundering Act 1996 and appeared before a magistrate on Monday 28th September where he was granted bail. He is expected to re-appear in court on 7th December.
The police say they are continuing their efforts to eradicate transnational drug trafficking, money laundering and the financing of terrorism while playing their part in the protection of the financial system.
