Antiguan pilot among victims of Texas plane crash

An Antiguan pilot is among three victims after a cargo jetliner crashed in Texas on Saturday.

Someone close to the man’s family in Antigua said the family received the news about the crash.

First Officer Conrad Aska was one  of three people on the Amazon B767 filght from Miami to Texas. RIP

The aircraft was heading for Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport from Miami, the FAA confirmed.

During its approach, the 767 lost radio and radar contact with air traffic controllers Saturday as it crashed about 30 miles from the airport.

The aircraft was reportedly flying through a storm and might have been brought down by turbulence meteorologist Jonathan Bell said.
