BARBADOS – Five accused of murdering Briton remanded to prison

Five men charged in connection with the murder of British businessman Steven Weare have been remanded to prison.

Thirty-five-year-old Sunil Decourcey Brome; 30-year-old Keino Nakito; 26-year-old Christopher Darnley Michael Clarke; 26-year-old Torio Akiro Watson; and 27-year-old Basil Alphonso Branch appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy Sargeant at the District A Magistrates’ Court today.

They were not required to plead to the indictable charge and have been ordered to return to court on October 11.

Weare, a British car salesman, from Kirkham in Lancashire, was reported missing on August 23.

His body was found on September 1 at an undisclosed location at Melverton, St George.
