Three people are being questioned as police launch an investigation into the seizure of approximately BDS$3 million worth of illegal drugs found aboard a yacht on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, the Royal Barbados Police Force’s Drug Squad unit conducted an operation on board the Barbados registered luxury vessel at the Bridgetown Port around 1 p.m. and the contraband discovered.
“Three crew members are currently assisting police with investigations,” a news release said without naming the vessel or identifying those on board.
Local media have reported that two of the three men in custody are known businessmen.
