British national falls to his death in Barbados

Police are investigating the death of 46-year-old British sub-contractor, Paul Anthony Clifford, who fell 70 feet to his death of Saturday.

Police said that Clifford fell from the roof of the Portvale Sugar Factory in the western central part of the island.

Clifford had been hired by a local company to fix the roof on the main building and appeared to have stepped on one of the panels on the roof and fell through.

“A number of workers were in here when the incident happened, so right now, we are questioning a number of people trying to get a sense of what happened,” said Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss.

  1. I’d like to do a story about the corruption in the Grenadian government. I’ll be in Barbados tomorrow to engage the United Nations Human Rights Department.
