Briton and Cuban Die in Accidents

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Jul 20 2015 – A Briton and a Cuban are dead following separate road accidents last night and early this morning.

The first incident took the life of 54 year old British tourist Theresa Cummings who was staying in Jolly Harbour.

The police say around 10:30 pm, Cummings was walking on the Valley Road in an area just south of Sugar Ridge when she was struck by a White Toyota Corolla.

In a separate incident around 1:20 this morning, 49 year old Cuban Rohan Rollando Blanco of Factory Road lost his life.

Blanco was riding a bicycle when he collided with a motorcycle.

The country has now recorded nine road fatalities for the year so far. This compares to just four road fatalities recorded in 2014.
