Church groups condemn legalisation of buggery in Barbados

The Caribbean CAUSE notes that the Barbados High Court has legalized  the practice of  buggery.

It is well documented in places like the USA, Canada and the UK that the legalization of buggery is the first step in a process to radically reform society to conform to secular humanist and neo-pagan values.

The purpose of legalizing  buggery is to re-organize society so that all forms of sexual expression are free and then to punish those who say otherwise.

Barbados and other countries that have legalized the practice of buggery should expect claims of so-called rights to so-called same sex marriage, indoctrination of children in sexual nihilism, sexual anarchy and gender confusion using Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), the suppression of speech on the truth about the human being and marriage and loss of parental rights.

Whilst one must await the written judgement in Barbados, it would appear that the Barbados court has followed the pattern of judicial activism that is spreading across Western societies and engulfing the Caribbean.

In the Obergefell decision which legalized so-called same sex marriage in the United States, Chief Justice Roberts, in a minority opinion, said “The majority’s decision is an act of will, not legal judgment. The right it announces has no basis in the Constitution or this Court’s precedent.” Justice Scalia, in another dissenting opinion stated “[The] decision will also have a fundamental effect on this Court and its ability to uphold the rule of law. If a bare majority of Justices can invent a new right and impose that right on the rest of the country, the only real limit on what future majorities will be able to do is their own sense of what those with political power and cultural influence are willing to tolerate”.

The Caribbean Courts that have followed the West and ruled on matters related to LGBTQ ideology, may be contrasted with the restraint of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (JCPC) in these matters.

The JCPC overturned rulings by Caribbean judges that there were rights to so-called same sex marriage in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

The people of the Caribbean should be wary of the Caribbean Courts that seek to run against their expressed will, their history and their faith in the Supremacy of God.  If the choice is between a Caribbean Court that is against the biblical world view for laws and public policies, then justice must be sought and retained through the uncompromised JCPC, as our final Court of Appeal.

The Caribbean Cause and other Christian organisations stand firmly against activist Caribbean judges who are determined to impose secular humanist and neo-pagan ideologies on their societies.
