Cocaine Packaged In Bags With Coffee And Milk Powder Labels Seized At Airport

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Feb 19 2017 – The Narcotics Police are reporting that more than 5 pounds of cocaine were seized at the Norman Manley International Airport yesterday wrapped in containers marked Jablum Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee and Lasco Creamy Malt.

According to the Police Narcotics Division, the cocaine is valued at more than $3.1 million.

No one has been arrested in connection with the seizure.

It’s reported that detectives who were conducting routine searches at the airport found two small knitted bags labelled Jablum 100 percent Jamaican coffee and two sachets labelled Lasco creamy and chocolate malt inside a bathroom cubicle.

The Narcotics Police say the packages were found to contain a white powdery substance which was taken to its headquarters and processed.
