Eastern Caribbean islands jolted by 5.1 magnitude earthquake

Antigua and other Eastern Caribbean islands were jolted by an earthquake shortly before 12:30 (local time) Friday afternoon.

The Seismic Research Centre at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad said the 5.1 magnitude quake occurred at 12:27 p.m.

It was located at Latitude: 14.89N, Longitude: 61.43W at a depth of 145 km.

The location of the earthquake was 45 kilometres south of Roseau, Dominica, 50 km NW of Fort-de-France, Martinique and 107 km NW of Castries, Saint Lucia.
