ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Dec 14 2016 – United Progressive Party (UPP) Caretaker for the St George Constituency, George Wehner has been released from custody.
Wehner was held by police for questioning in a so-called terrorist video probe.
His Legal counsel Leon Chaku Symister said Wehner was charged with battery on a police officer
The charge relates to an incident which took place at a meeting of the good governance group — The Movement — in September.
The former Antigua & Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) captain was granted station bail in the sum of $1500 with one surety.
The video investigation, the attorney said, is still pending.
