JAMAICA-IMMIGRATION-Abu Bakr Detained In Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Oct. 16, CNS – The leader of the Jamaat al Muslimeen group in Trinidad and Tobago, Yasin Abu Bakr, was detained at the Norman Manley International airport shortly after disembarking a Caribbean Airlines(CAL) flight from Trinidad on Wednesday.

Bakr, who arrived here to attend an event, was denied entry into the country.

Media reports said that Bakr, who is in his 70s, had become boisterous and objected to being barred from leaving the airport.

The reason for his detention has not been disclosed and security officials.
