Little Change In System Over Southwestern Caribbean

MIAMI, Nov 18 2016 – Cloudiness and showers over the southwestern Caribbean Sea continued to be associated with a broad low pressure area, the National Hurricane Center said.

This system showed little change in organization, but conditions were expected to be conducive for slow development during the next several days. A tropical depression could form by late this weekend or early next week while the low moves slowly and erratically.

Tropical formation chances are 20 percent over the next 48 hours and 70 percent through the next five days.

The Atlantic hurricane season ends Nov. 30.
